Dhaka, July 13 -- At a meeting the Chief Adviser's Press Wing on Saturday affirmed the interim government's strong commitment to holding a credible and flawless national election.
"The last three consecutive elections were nothing more than a farce-mere mockeries in the name of democracy," said Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.He emphasized that this time, the government is resolute in its efforts to establish an environment where citizens can exercise their voting rights freely and without fear.
Mazumder made these remarks while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with government officials, journalists, and civil society representatives at the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall.
