Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has criticised the Awami League (AL) government, claiming that over the past 15 years, it has failed to secure even a drop of water from the Teesta River.
He highlighted the ongoing water management issues, noting that India has built dams on all 54 rivers shared with Bangladesh. "On one hand, India is withholding water from us, while on the other hand, they have propped up our enemy, Hasina, in Delhi like a king," he said while addressing a gathering in Lalmonirhat on Monday.
