Dhaka, Sept. 22 -- Shipping and Labour and Employment Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain on Sunday said the essence of all religions lies in human welfare, peace and patriotism.

Sakhawat made these remarks at a programme organised by the Gulshan-Banani Sarbjanin Puja Foundation in the capital on Sunday to celebrate Shuvo Mahalaya 1432.
