Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Since the formation of the Interim Government following the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina government last year, the political parties have been demanding for specific schedule of the parliamentary election.
Though the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government Prof Muhammad Yunus in the beginning did not mentioned the tentative timeline but recently he has been giving hints that the election would be held by the end of this year.
On Thursday, he again told a commissioner of the German government Zarah Bruhn during a call at the State Guest House Jamuna that the election would be held before the ending of this year.
During the meeting he also sought support of the German government to make the general election a success.
