Dhaka, Dec. 2 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said that a favourable environment has now taken shape for holding the upcoming national election.

Speaking at a joining ceremony at the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan, he said, "Under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus, the interim government has already formed several reform commissions. We have endorsed a reform charter through these bodies. As a result, a situation conducive to organizing a free and fair election has been created in the country."
