Dhaka, Oct. 30 -- Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said quick and effective measures must be taken to control sound pollution, one of the major social problems and health hazards in the country on Wednesday.

"Alongside enforcing the law, raising public awareness is equally important. Educational institutions, the media, and civic organizations must work together, while local administrations need to play a more vigorous role in preventing sound pollution," she said.
