Dhaka, Sept. 4 -- Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder on Wednesday said the development projects should be taken by maintaining the balance of environment at national and local levels.

"We should comply with the rules and regulations on environment in taking and implementing all the projects," he said while presiding over the 150th meeting of the Central Land Allotment Committee at Land Ministry conference room here.

The adviser said huge agriculture lands are being used for implementing many projects that caused a major threat to the food security of the country.

As per Bangladesh Environment Protection Act-1995, taking the clearance from the Directorate of Environment is a must before implementation of any project, Ali Imam Majumder said,...
