Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- If the state-owned Amin Jute Mills is reopened, it will be possible to produce bags as an alternative to polythene, said CCC Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain. Jute bags will be environmentally friendly and helpful in reducing the use of non-biodegradable polythene. The mayor expressed this hope while visiting the closed factory of Amin Jute Mills in Sholashahar of the city on Friday.The mayor said that Amin Jute Mills Limited is a heavy industrial enterprise located in Chattagram district.
