Dhaka, May 4 -- Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid on Saturday said that addressing the issue of environmental pollution should be brought into the forefront while due emphasis should be given in this regard.

"The government has to think about river pollution and PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) pollution. Please come up with your well thought-out plan since the doors of the interim government are always open for you," she said.

The Social Welfare Adviser was addressing a discussion meeting on "PFAS Pollution and Public Health in Bangladesh" as the chief guest held at a hotel in the capital on Saturday, according to a press release.
