Srinagar, June 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday said that the government is in close contact with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar to evacuate the stranded Kashmiri students in Iran.

Omar Abdullah, per news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO) also said that the process of evacuation is going on and the students are being shifted and relocated to Armenia.

"I am in close contact with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar. I spoke to him and he assured me that the first priority of the Centre will be to relocate the Indian students from the danger areas like Tehran Ifshan."
