Kulgam, June 4 -- Security has been beefed up across Kulgam district on Wednesday ahead of Prime Minister Modi visit to J&K on June 6, to inaugurate Katra-Srinagar rail link an official told VOI.
An official told that on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal-IPS, Security beefed up across Kulgam district and senior police officers are personally monitoring the situation on ground.
"Checkpoints have been erected in the many places and security forces stopping and checking the vehicles to ensure that the VVIP visit passes off peacefully", he said.
Notably, This will be the PM's first visit to J&K after 'Operation Sindoor'.
