Srinagar, Feb. 2 -- Jammu and Kashmir triumphed over Baroda by 182 runs in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A encounter, sealing their place in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Jammu and Kashmir posted a solid first-innings total of 246.

The team J&K, according to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO) followed it up with a second-innings score of 284, setting Baroda a daunting target of 365 runs to win.

Baroda were dismissed for 166 in their first innings and struggled again in their second innings, managing only 182/7 at lunch on Day 4.
