Jammu, June 1 -- Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in India, 7 cases have also been reported from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a senior Health official, 4 cases of COVID-19 have been reported from Kashmir and 3 from Jammu province. He said all the affected persons had travel history. They are currently isolating at home as per Health Department's instructions.
Among 4 persons affected with COVID-19 in Kashmir, 2 are students from Kerala doing MDS in a dental college in Srinagar, one 72-year-old from Bandipora and a young man from Srinagar.
Those from Jammu province included a student from Reasi, a young man from Babliana (Jammu) and another youth from Kathua district.
