Anantnag, June 24 -- Senior NC leader and Vice District President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah has urged the district administration to address the genuine concerns of peasants from Kawrigam, Tooru, Teilwani, and Brah Renipora regarding the inadequate irrigation supply. He stressed the need to make the Martand Canal and Brah Irrigation Canal fully functional by undertaking desiltation and necessary repairs, to ensure proper water supply for agricultural purposes.

Imran Shah highlighted that despite regularly paying annual revenue for irrigation water, the farmers of these areas receive only a meagre supply, which hampers agricultural productivity. He called upon the authorities to treat this as a priority issue.
