, May 28 -- Security has been beefed up along Jammu Srinagar National Highway in Qazigund on Wednesday ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah's Visit to J&K on May 29 and May 30, an official told VOI.
An official told that on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal-IPS, under the supervision of ASP Highway Mumtaz Bhatti, Incharge SHO Qazigund Furqan is personally monitoring the situation along Jammu-Srinagar NH in Qazigund.
"Checkpoints have been erected in the many places and security forces stopping and checking the vehicles to ensure that the VVIP visit passes off peacefully.
Notably, This will be the Union Home Minister's first visit to J&K after 'Operation Sindoor'.
