Qazigund, Feb. 12 -- After decades, the authorities in Roads and Building (R&B) department have started the construction work of a vital bridge over the nallah Sandran in Qazigund belt that will connect Damjan to Larkipora has started raising hopes of villagers who have to travel several kilometres in times of emergency.

According to locals residents, the bridge is vital as it would connect numerous villages with the Larkipora in Anantnag district of south kashmir.

"Completion of the bridge would shorten the distance from NH44 Damjan to Larkipora in Anantnag benefiting the local community," they said.
