Kulgam, March 20 -- At least nine tourists were injured after the vehicles they were travelling in met with an accident at Nepora area of Qazigund in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, officials said on Thursday.

An official told that an accident took place between at Nepora along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

He said nine tourists sustained injuries while police rushed to the spot immediately after the accident took place.

The injured tourists identified as Vikram Kumar (39 years), son of Deva Ram, resident of Rajasthan, Avala Krishna Chaitanya (28 years), son of Avala Bala Nagendra Krishna Murthy, resident of Andhra Pradesh.
