Jammu & Kashmir, May 7 -- An unidentified plane crashed in Bathinda, killing one person and injuring 9 others, sources said on Wednesday.

Sources said the plane crashed around past midnight into wheat fields of Akalia Kalan village of the district, in which a farm labourer, originally from Charkhi Dadri of Haryana, was killed and nine others sustained injuries.

Local authorities remained tight-lipped about the identity of the aircraft and maintained that the defence officials would be able to shed some light.
