Jammu & Kashmir, June 4 -- A Special Police Officer (SPO) was among two persons arrested with narcotics in Udhampur and Kathua districts of Jammu and Kashmir, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The police said a team on patrolling duty near Phangyal area of Udhampur town intercepted a suspicious person, who, on seeing the police team, tried to escape but was apprehended.

On frisking, the accused, identified as Vishal Singh, who is posted as the SPO at DPL Udhampur, 5.64 grams of Heroin were recovered from his possession. Singh is a resident of Shakti Nagar, Udhampur.
