Jammu & Kashmir, May 1 -- Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small-arms fire during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday across the Line of Control (LoC), targeting scores of Indian posts in Jammu and Kashmir, marking the seventh consecutive day of such firing.
The latest ceasefire violation happened despite the directors general of military operations of India and Pakistan reportedly speaking on the hotline on Tuesday. The frequent ceasefire violations over the last week threaten the February 2021 ceasefire agreement along the 740 km long LoC between the two countries
Army said last night the posts were targeted opposite Kupwara, Uri in Kashmir and Akhnoor in Jammu.
