India, Sept. 1 -- A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the Kashmir Valley in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025, at 12:47 AM IST, sending tremors across parts of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The epicenter was located 25 km from Goshta, Afghanistan, according to USGS National Earthquake Information Center.
The quake occurred at a moderate depth in the affected regions, with residents in Srinagar and surrounding areas reporting mild to moderate tremors.
Local authorities in both India and Pakistan reported no immediate casualties or significant structural damage.
