India, Dec. 29 -- National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Monday condemned the alleged stone pelting incidents on some Islamic seminaries in Kishtwar, terming those involved as miscreants and devils, and urged the Centre to act firmly against hate-driven elements.

Responding to a question from media persons regarding the reported incidents, Farooq Abdullah said that such acts are carried out by disruptive forces. "There are miscreants and these devils will do their work," he said, adding that such incidents threaten communal harmony.
