India, July 14 -- J&K Police chief Nalin Prabhat today underscored the importance of heightened preparedness in counter-insurgency operations and called for continuous upskilling in modern jungle warfare tactics.

He emphasized that in forested terrains, long-duration operations require exceptional endurance, situational awareness, and an adaptive tactical mindset to achieve the target of a militancy-free J&K.

Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat made the remarks while interacting with officers and jawans at Rajwar in the Zachaldara area of Handwara sub-district. Notably, this visit marks the first-ever by a serving Police Chief to this remote and strategically significant region of North Kashmir.
