Jammu & Kashmir, July 25 -- In a significant development in the ongoing legal case involving incarcerated MP Engineer Rashid, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), seeking a response on the alleged imposition of exorbitant travel expenses on the jailed parliamentarian for attending sessions of the Indian Parliament.

Engineer Rashid-led Awami Ittehad Party spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, said the court has taken cognizance of the financial burden reportedly being placed on Er Rashid, an elected representative, in order to exercise his constitutional right to represent his constituency in Parliament.
