IT has now been over a year since schools in Kashmir have been closed.And as things stand, it is unlikely that the schools will functionnormallyuntil early next year - the government's order to reopen them on September 21 notwithstanding. That too will be possible only if we have got a grip on the runawaycontagion and there is a vaccine for it. However, the Covid-19 relatedclosure of schools is just six months old.
