Srinagar, July 14 -- The Meteorological Department has forecast continued wet weather in Jammu and Kashmir until July 17, with the possibility of intense rainfall in some areas. The shift in weather has brought much-needed relief from the recent heat, but also raised concerns about flash floods, landslides, and mudslides in vulnerable regions.
The MeT has issued an Orange alert for the Jammu division, predicting isolated heavy rains, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds until July 16. A Yellow alert will remain in place in the division from July 18 to 20.
