India, Jan. 31 -- Traffic Police Headquarters Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday issued a traffic plan and advisory for February 1, warning of slow vehicular movement on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway due to road damage and adverse weather conditions.

Officials said traffic movement remained sluggish on January 30 after two heavy motor vehicles broke down between Marog and Kishtwari Pather on NH 44. The situation worsened due to a 20 to 30 metre single lane stretch at Kishtwari Pather following road sinking, prompting authorities to allow heavy vehicles to ply only on alternate days.
