Srinagar, March 15 -- The statement was made in response to a question by Tanveer Sadiq in the Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is the Minister In-Charge of the Housing and Urban Development Department, said that the feasibility study for the Dalgate-Jehangir Chowk flyover has been completed, and its DPR is currently under appraisal.

Omar further stated that traffic congestion continues to impact daily commuters, emergency services, and businesses in Srinagar, particularly in Lal Chowk and Jehangir Chowk.

However, the government refuted the claim that the narrowing of Maulana Azad Road under the Smart City Project has worsened congestion.
