Srinagar, Oct. 1 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday attached the headquarters of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, the outfit founded by late separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani, in Srinagar.
Officials said the attached property comprises a three-storey building on one kanal and one marla of land in Hyderpora, located along the Airport Road.
The premises once served as late Geelani's residence and office, from where he led the Hurriyat Conference.
The action was taken under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with a case registered at Budgam police station. Police said the attachment followed "collected evidence" and due approval from the competent authority.
