Srinagar, July 23 -- It is baffling to see the world watching a livestreamed genocide on a day to day basis and appearing not to care. Or just confining its concern to intermittent condemnations and calls for ceasefire, which Israel dismisses contemptuously.

The United Nations calls the situation a "horror show", and yet, the horror deepens daily. More than 59,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed since Israel's military campaign began in October 2023. Now, starvation is being used as a weapon against Palestinians.

The Israeli government claims it has facilitated aid. Videos are posted of trucks lined up. But the reality on the ground tells another story: people shot while trying to reach food, children dying in hospitals...
