Srinagar, April 15 -- Director MET Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that several areas across Kashmir witnessed a significant spike in maximum temperatures, with many stations recording 8-11degC above normal.
Srinagar recorded 30.4degC, which is the second highest maximum temperature for April. Qazigund reported 29.8degC its third highest while Pahalgam recorded 25.4degC, Kupwara 29.5degC, Kokernag 27.5degC, and Gulmarg 20.7degC, Dr Mukhtar said, as per news agency JKNS .
In Jammu division, maximum temperatures stood at 35.7degC in Jammu, 25.8degC in Banihal, 24.1degC in Batote, 32.4degC in Katra, and 26.4degC in Bhaderwah.
