Srinagar, June 24 -- Several other parts of the Valley also witnessed soaring temperatures. Qazigund recorded 33.6degC, Pahalgam 30.6degC, and Kupwara touched 34.7degC. Kokernag reported 33.2degC, while Gulmarg - the famous ski destination - was relatively cooler at 26.0degC.

In contrast, Jammu division remained relatively normal, with the winter capital Jammu registering a maximum of 34.1degC. Other areas recorded the following: Banihal 30.6degC, Batote 28.2degC, Katra 30.7degC, and Bhaderwah 33.2degC.
