Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- Officials said the deceased has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Teli (45), son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Badipora Chadoora, who was posted at District Police Lines (DPL) Srinagar. He sustained critical injuries after coming in contact with a live wire in his native village and was immediately rushed to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said further details of the incident are being ascertained. (KNT)
