Srinagar, Feb. 11 -- The meeting of the committee was today held under the chairmanship of the Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather in the Legislative Assembly complex Jammu.

According to sources, there was consensus among committee members that slight modifications should be carried out for in the rules for smooth functioning of the Assembly, reported news agency KNO.

MLA Rajouri and member of the committee Muzaffar Iqbal Khan said there was unanimity among the committee members that there should be no amendments in the existing rules except slight modifications required for transaction of business in the House.
