Srinagar, Feb. 27 -- Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Association (KVFGDU) Chairman Bashir Ahmad Basheer on Thursday said the Valley has sufficient stock to meet the growing demand.

"Every day, around 5,000 to 6,000 fruit boxes reach Kashmir, with 400-500 boxes per vehicle. As temperatures rise, the demand for fruits like watermelons and melons, especially during Ramazan, will increase, and supply from outside will also go up," Basheer said, as per news agency KNO.

He said vegetables are also available in good quantities, and prices will remain stable. "Even if the weather plays spoilsport and the highway gets blocked, we have enough stock to keep the markets running," he added.
