Srinagar, July 8 -- Data from the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) Department shows that the water level in River Jhelum saw only a marginal rise. At Sangam, the gauge moved from 0.33 feet on July 7 to 0.51 feet on July 8-still below the 0.57 feet recorded previously. Similar modest upticks were seen at Munshi Bagh (from 1.94 ft to 2.11 ft) and Asham (2.14 ft to 2.30 ft). Meanwhile, the level at Wullar Lake actually dipped slightly to 1574.75m, compared to 1574.97m on June 30.
