India, Jan. 12 -- Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, noted social and political activist, passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness in New Delhi. He was 91.
Bazaz was founder of the Jammu & Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF), and son of the renowned writer and Kashmir historian Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz.
Bhushan Bazaz was widely respected as a consistent and principled Kashmiri Pandit voice for brotherhood and Kashmiriyat. Throughout his life, he stood for peace, reconciliation and dialogue, and remained committed to fostering harmony, mutual respect and understanding among the diverse communities of Jammu and Kashmir.
