Srinagar, June 19 -- Citing the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Modi described it as a "direct assault on the soul, identity, and dignity of every Indian" and said turning a blind eye to terrorism for vested interests would be "a betrayal of humanity."

"Terrorism is the enemy of humanity. There must be no place for double standards," Modi said. "Are we truly serious about addressing terrorism? Will we act only when it knocks on our own doors?"

He criticised the global inconsistency in sanctions and accountability, stating, "On one hand, we are quick to impose sanctions based on our own preferences, while on the other, nations openly supporting terrorism continue to be rewarded."
