Srinagar, July 25 -- In a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Thursday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that till the financial year 2024-25, the Centre has released Rs.2,827.94 crore for roads and Rs.50.62 crore for bridges under the CRIF scheme in the Union Territory.
The CRIF scheme, aimed at the development and maintenance of state roads, is implemented based on proposals received from state or UT governments. Factors like pending liabilities of earlier projects, unspent funds, and annual accruals under the scheme influence project selection and execution.
According to district-wise data tabled in Parliament, Doda district has the highest number of ongoing road projects under CRIF at 18. Rajouri follows with 9 projects, and Kishtwar...
