Srinagar, March 5 -- Sources said that the cabinet met here at 8:00 PM to give its nod to changes in the business rules of the J&K government. "The proposal would now be sent to the Lieutenant Governor who has the authority to notify them," they said.

Under Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation Act-2019, the Lieutenant Governor shall make rules on the advice of the council of ministers for the allocation of business to the ministers; and for the more convenient transaction of business with the Ministers including the procedure to be adopted in case of a difference of opinion between the Lieutenant Governor and the Council of Ministers or a Minister.
