Srinagar, July 10 -- It was officially granted on July 9, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the institute's pursuit of cutting-edge research and technological innovation.

The patented system is the outcome of collaborative research between the Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments. The team of inventors includes Prof. M. F. Wani, Head Mechanical Engineering Department (MED); Prof. Rakesh Sehgal (Former NIT Srinagar Director); Dr. Sheikh Shahid Saleem from MED; and Dr. Vivek from the Department of Civil Engineering.
