Srinagar, July 29 -- The trio was neutralised on Monday in a swift operation codenamed 'Operation Mahadev' launched by the Army's elite para commandos near Mulnar, close to the Dachigam National Park. The operation was triggered by a technical intercept indicating the use of a satellite phone connected to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre.
Officials said the NIA team arrived at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Srinagar early Tuesday to begin the formal identification of the slain terrorists. Witnesses were brought in batches to ensure "cent per cent confirmation" that one of the bodies belonged to Sulieman Shah.
