India, Jan. 13 -- Srinagar- Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday visited the residence of the late Kashmiri Pandit intellectual Bhushan Bazaz in New Delhi and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Mirwaiz expressed solidarity with the family and conveyed his sympathies to Bazaz's wife and son, Kalhan Bazaz. He prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the loss.

Paying tribute, Mirwaiz remembered Bhushan Bazaz as a principled and consistent Kashmiri voice who stood for peace, dialogue, and coexistence. He recalled Bazaz's lifelong commitment to Kashmiriyat and harmony among the region's diverse communities.
