Srinagar, April 19 -- The Department- Related Standing Committee on Home Affairs is scheduled to undertake a six-day visit of Jammu & Kashmir from April 26 to May 01.

Headed by Rajya Sabha member, Dr Radha Mohan Das Aggrawal, the panel comprises 31 members from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

In its report tabled in the Parliament on March 06, the committee had suggested a slew of recommendations for boosting economy and infrastructural development in the Union Territory.

Ahead of the visit, Jammu & Kashmir government has begun preparations for the programme.

The government has appointed 25 officers as Liaison Officers in view of the upcoming visit of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs to J&K
