Srinagar, Feb. 18 -- Office of Chief Minister, J&K in a post on X, said, "As part of the ongoing review meetings by the Union Home Minister with various States and UTs, I attended a meeting today to discuss the implementation of New Criminal Laws enacted by Parliament in July, 2024 . The deliberations focused on modernization, swift justice and a victim-centric approach to law enforcement".
The meeting at the North Block was held in the presence of J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah after the meeting stated that the three newly introduced criminal laws have been "by and large" successfully implemented in the Union Territory.
