Srinagar, July 21 -- Official sources said that the deceased has been identified as Abid Hassan Sofi, son of Ghulam Hassan, a resident of Mirpora Salia, aged around 30 years.

Soon after the recovery, a team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was dispatched to the spot for on-site examination, they said, as per news agency JKNS.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings to ascertain the cause of death.
