Srinagar, March 3 -- Looking back, it now appears a different world. The current state of affairs between India and Pakistan is far from promising, with no direct flights, hardly any visas issued, and no bus or train services. India-Pakistan hostilities seem here to stay and Pakistan bears a fair share of responsibility for this. Dialogue between the two countries has often been subverted by the major attacks in India, causing losses of life. Singh's peace process was cut short by the 2008 Mumbai attack in which 166 people, including 20 security force personnel and 26 foreigners lost their lives.
