SRINAGAR, Nov. 1 -- Life returned to normal on Friday in this border district of Ladakh Union Territory (UT) after remaining crippled due to strike for three days.
Black-day was observed in Kar-gil district on Thursday, when R K Mathur took oath of office as first Lt Governor of the UT Ladakh at Leh.
A delegation of Kargil present-ed a memorandum to Mr Mathur immediately after he assumed of-fice as Lt Governor yesterday. Ac-cording to delegation members, Lt Governor assured them that he will look into their demands.
"We are suspending our agitation for some times to allow smooth conduct of class 4th interviews in the district," the sponsors of the Kargil agitation said on Friday.
