Srinagar, March 11 -- This has once again given a lie to periodic claims of normalcy. The reality on the ground, more so, in the Jammu region, is telling a different story. The resurgence of targeted violence indicates that the specter of militancy is far from eradicated. The deaths of civilians in remote areas highlight a disturbing pattern, and it needs to be stopped forthwith.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh's assertion that terrorist elements may be involved in the recent killings adds a serious dimension to the issue.
