Srinagar, Aug. 21 -- Raj Begum, who received the Padma Shri for her music, sang at a time when women's dreams were often confined to their homes. Her songs carried hope, resistance, and the soul of Kashmir itself.

Now, her story unfolds on screen inSongs of Paradise, a musical drama premiering on Prime Video on August 29 in India and over 200 countries worldwide.

Directed by Danish Renzu, produced in collaboration with Shafat Qazi, Apple Tree Pictures, Renzu Films, and presented by Excel Entertainment, the film is both intimate and expansive.

It traces the life of Raj Begum, known here through the cinematic persona Noor Begum, embodied in two distinct phases by Saba Azad and Soni Razdan.
